My guild entered Naxxramas 25-man and cleared the Arcahnid and Plague Quarters. A smaller group of us later hit the 10-man version and did a full clear in two days. Between raids it has all been about gearing up, which led me to a lot of info about gems and enchants for a death knight. I’ll go into those later this week.

polar_bear_mount_small.gifLast week had one of the dumbest luck moments for me ever in game. After just doing a daily quest for the for no other reason than because it was there I ended up with an epic mount that others research and grind for.

doppleganger_small.gifDeath knight changes for patch 3.0.8 were announced. After linking a great listing of the changes I went over them and what they’ll mean for us when implemented. Now we’re just waiting for the public test realm to start up.

On my end I tanked through about half the heroics out there and a 10-man raid in the last week. I only got to just DPS in a group once or twice. Definitely a tank shortage out there so you definitely want to gear up if you want in on lots of heroics, though in my guild we have an even more severe healer shortage at the moment.

Here we’ve gone over a lot of tanking topics. We went over starting gear for tanking, for the fresh level 70 in Northrend, and tanking gear for heroics you can get through quests, crafting, and reputation. We went over builds and basics for Unholy tanking and Frost tanking. I’ve even talked about my misadventures in heroic tanking and my proper adventures as well.

My guild is starting up 25-man raiding this week. We’re starting off slowly for now but I expect we’ll have everyone in and going strong in the next month or so. I’m scheduled to help off tank on Thursday. In the mean time I need to work on my DPS gear, it has dipped below the quality of my tanking set even though I want to be a DPS main. Oops.
